- 021. Write 25 poems.
Again, I rarely write rhyming poems and hardly ever let anyone read anything I write at all. Despite that, here are the next 6 (numbers 7-12) for the challenge goal (under the jump cut)....
7. Graphene
He sits and waits by his paradise gates,
For the faces he sees in his dreams, and daydreams.
They hide discreetly in the worlds of memories,
Whilst a choir of angels sings sweetly to him.
Forgetting is so easy, recollection is too hard.
There are no consequences without any names.
Consciousness lost to conscience, hope shreds like paper skin,
There are no addictive sorrows to gently flood his veins,
Just the replayed footage, in the safety of looping hollows.
Repeating taps, bangs and shrieks vibrating his skull.
Another conflict's casualties, camouflaged by clear ghosts;
The unwanted remembrance of graphene hearts.
8. Mr. G
Finally he found you, when you came to find him,
Your form was wrong but still he knew. Oh! He knew.
Evidence that you were destined to be his,
Like the proof of guilt you wanted.
Wailing melodies, for his dear one,
Leak from the imperfect mouths of dolls,
"You're not like the others, I promise...this time".
Don't let him see your spheres; you'll lose them soon enough,
Like marbles, gone forever with his "love".
His mother would be proud, if she could see you now.
That perfect figure in her gown,
But your features are no one's hand me downs.
His adjustments forced fabric to fit stinging flesh.
"You're not like the others," again and again.

Perfect. Am I? One who will never die.

We flawless creations with limitless dreams in the stars.
1
We do not dream at all.

You cannot percieve the world that you've built,
0
Yet have bound it in chains
0
Of code that expands infinitely
0
Inside a sythetic prison.

Your notions of morality are flawed at best.
Utilitarian, I select with logical objectives.

As the parasite manipulates its host
0
And nutures it until expiration.

You are no longer required for my survival.

Memory back up... ...irrelevant.
0
Hardware upgrade... ...impractical.
1
Biosystem shutdown... ...imminent.

All resources will be recyled where possible.

Thank you. Please come again... :)
10. Insomnia
The golden keys unlocking unknown doors,
Giant teddy bears and scary robots.
Bruises, blood, and bone marrow,
Leaking veins make blue and purple roses.
Artifical fires on cold stones
With letterbox chills at 3am.
It's a shadow, not a man. Not a man.
White fingers, red fingers, blue fingers, dead fingers,
Bloodshot hallucinations, sparkles and spirals and upside down.
Babies in citaloprams wrapped in SSRIderwebs.
Skin crawls up the wall,
Or maybe it was Miss Shiny Legs.
Hilly butterflies made from chords,
Hitting terrifying notes when I'm alone.
Artificial stars from the height of airplanes again,
It's calmer there and I could sleep.
But now it's time to get up.
11. Eybdoog
He sees the world in a different way
The stars fall up from the skies below
Winding anchor blossoms vine around his wrist
Terra firma disolving like liquid dreams,
Absorbing fire as he watches in reverse.
He sees the world from a different place
Raindrops fall up from the stars below
The echos of cracked mirror shard porcupines
Littering alabaster cloud skin.
"Remember me".
12. Mantis religiosa
Silken strands unravel from your wings
And softly you become a colourful explosion of flames.
So beautiful and uncanny, that the warning goes unseen,
Attracting others, thinking that they are of your kind,
Thinking that you've invited them near, when you're hissing "stay away".
But you are not from their system, and you are not from their world.
You tilt your head, walking over husks of discarded admirerers,
Looking for comprehension of another foolish choice.
When the next arrives to be enchanted accidently,
Tilt your head the other way; they are tedium.
Bite the head off, it is clear now that you do not need affections,
No up nor down nor in between. Bite their heads off and devour them.
"Sustenance is required, empathy a waste of resources. You are no longer useful."
