Once again, this is a combination piece for the 365 Days of Art list and for Inktober (Day 5). The theme for this drawing was "make-up".

365 Days of Art: Favourite Plant

25. Favourite Plant

This is number 25 of the 365 Days of Art list: 'Favourite Plant'. It's a drawing of a moth orchid, which is one of the house plants I look after (along with a poinsettia and a rose). I actually don't have a favourite because they - like all the plants in my garden - are wonderful, but this is the first one I got (years ago), so it's the one I drew.

Inktober - Day 3 & 365 Days of Art: The Divine Comedy

Inktober, Day 3 /  94. Something based on The Divine Comedy by Dante

This is for Day 3 of Inktober but is also doubling as number 94 (Something based on The Divine Comedy by Dante) on my 365 Days of Art list. It was loosely inspired by the part of 'Paradiso', in which Dante goes to the Empyrean realm and sees a giant rose appear with angels flying around it. All of humanity (eventually including Beatrice) lives within this rose. A blinding light then envelopes Dante and allows him to see God/the Holy Trinity (I only drew the beginnings of the light though). 

It isn't a great drawing and the photograph of it is even worse, but I enjoyed doing it. I may go back and revisit this idea, by way of a better version, one day.

365 Days of Art: Tentacles

89. Tentacles

Number 89 of my 365 Days of Art challenge is around the theme 'Tentacles'. I decided to draw a nautilus because a) they have more than 90 tentacles, and b) they are amazing creatures! Also, just on a side note, they're the only animals with eyes that work like pinhole cameras.

For number 112 of the 365 Days of Art challenge that I set myself, I decided to do a collection of drawings. Since this number's theme is 'The Ocean', all of the animals are either ocean dwellers, or use the ocean for a large part of their existence.

It's October once again and that means it's that Inktober time of year. I've decided to participate again this year and began by drawing this tree frog.

I started this one a little while ago, but stopped working on it for a some time. Finally got back to it today, so number 157 - 'Cyborg' - on my 365 Days of Art list is now complete. (And yes, he did need to have a jawline that dark, apparently).
